Start your “shishkebob” by putting small squares of your favorite meat or fish on a skewer, alternating with small cuts of onion, peppers, tomatoes, pineapple. To try something different, use small squares of cooked nopalitos (tender cactus). The added flavor will surprise and please you. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and lemon juice. Serve while hot. Note: cook cactus pads by boiling them a few minutes.
